ON-THE-FLY USER MAPPING
Mapping devices to users by matching existing identity information coming from the network infrastructure.
• Wireless
o Devices connected to Wi-Fi access points using an
employee-restricted SSID and user profile
generally share the same username.
o Guest devices requiring no authentication are not
compatible with user mapping.
• Wired
o When scanning the wired (Ethernet cables and
docking stations) infrastructure, connected
devices do not provide any user identifying
information.
o We can integrate directly with NAC (Network
Access Control) solutions such as Forescout or
Infoblox to resolve the username of a wired
device before processing.
