• A process in which bids are sent to selected vendors and when
bid is submitted is visible to PM even before the close date.
Open Tendering
• A process in which bids are sent to selected vendors and when
bid is submitted is visible to PM even after the close date.
Closed Tendering
• Shortlisted contractors, often based on qualifications, are
invited to submit bids and this can be Open/Closed bid.
Selective Tendering
• The contract terms and price are negotiated with a specific
contractor.
Negotiated Tendering
• Initial proposals are sought in the first stage, and selected
bidders submit detailed bids in the second stage.
