The Occupancy Analytics Audit: Comprehensive office reservation system Copyright © 2024 Tango. All rights reserved. 3 Some office booking software will simply consider a resource "utilized" because someone has reserved it. But whatever the schedule says, an empty meeting room is an empty meeting room. And the entire time that space sits empty, someone else could be using it. So you want a solution that can not only recognize when no one arrives for a scheduled reservation, but can also make that space available again when a "no show" occurs. More advanced office booking soft- ware like Tango Reserve has dedi- cated features to address this, which makes the utilization data it nnnnnnnn provides more reliable. You can enable a feature that asks em- ployees to "check in" to their reserved space at their scheduled time. If they aren't there to check in within a time you've specified (such as 10 minutes), you can automatic- ally make the space appear available again within your calendar app. These features can help you understand usage of many shared spaces. But for assigned and undefined spaces, you'll need to add other layers to your occupancy analytics system.
