Going beyond reservations
But how do you track utilization of your non-
reservable spaces? You probably already have some
technology and practices in place, like badge scans,
manual walkthroughs, or time-tracking apps. But
these offer limited visibility into where employees
are. Badge scans can only show (roughly) who's in the
building, and they're only reliable if employees don't
hold the door open for one another. Walkthroughs
only identify where people are at a single point
in time. And time-tracking solutions may mistake
someone as away from their desk when they talk to a
colleague or work out of a notepad for too long.
Reservation data shows you how frequently your reservable work stations, offices, meeting rooms, and
amenities are in use, so you can understand the demand for these spaces and make decisions about how
