Lean Government 03 Fine-tune your space allocation Space allocation directly impacts your ability to freeze or reduce the footprint. The more precisely you can align your space allocation to meet demand, the easier it is to identify and isolate space that you can repurpose. As your space utilization metrics reveal over or under allocation, you can bring these insights to your space planning processes to make meaningful adjustments. Tango Space's stack planning capabilities help agencies visualize their current space allocation with color-coded blocks that represent each space, including unallocated space. While a floor plan shows the specific layout of each floor and building, stack planning gives you the flexibility to focus on what's possible with your portfolio's square footage. Suppose you've identified some underutilized space in each of your buildings that you can comfortably repurpose for growth or remove to reduce the footprint. You can visually explore ways you could redistribute teams and departments to consolidate this space on a single floor or building. Or, you can rearrange your stacks to shift some or all of this underutilized square footage to give a department the extra space it needs to grow. Either way, you can change where and how space is allocated throughout your portfolio to ensure it meets your current needs. 7 Copyright © 2025 Tango. All rights reserved.
