tangoanalytics.com 2 CASE STUDY: EISNERAMPER RESULTS: GREAT NOW, GREAT FUTURE In the early planning stages of the new headquarters, EisnerAmper realized by taking advantage of worker mobility, they could leverage Tango Reserve to increase the worker-to-workspace ratio to greater than the 1:1 required by assigned seating strategies—especially using less overall space. When EisnerAmper signed their lease in 2019 for their new New York office, it was already for about 25% less space than their previous lease, and they anticipated leveraging available space to a greater degree than they had in the past. They then had a terrific firm in the real estate industry in New York City join them in September 2019 when they had about 31,000 square feet. As they planned the move into the new office with less space, they were working on a strategy to empower employees to only book what they needed, when they needed it, allowing a much more efficient use of space and reducing the total square footage needed. In early 2020, just as they entered the final months of the build, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. But with their new workplace strategy, office space redesign, and supporting technology, the firm was more than ready to address this new challenge. EisnerAmper was able to offer their employees a safe way to return to the office and use the flexibility of Tango Reserve to address each state's physical distance and capacity requirements. They also have access to contact tracing reports that show exactly who was in the office and with whom they may have been in close contact—an unplanned win! By implementing a flexible workplace strategy coupled with reduced square footage, EisnerAmper was not only able to support rapid growth, they are also saving annually in rent costs. As more people are added to this same space, the cost avoidance over time will only add more savings to their bottom line. SUMMARY: SUPPORTING GROWTH, AND SO MUCH MORE The challenges presented by EisnerAmper's rapid growth was one reason for adopting a more modern office and flexible workforce strategy. What was unforeseen was the incredible disaster recovery and business resiliency capabilities built into this plan. The COVID-19 pandemic validated the vision EisnerAmper had for providing more flexibility and the ability to work from anywhere. While most of New York City was on lockdown, they were able to provide safe access for their employees to work in the office. The pandemic also validated that EisnerAmper chose "the right one," the Tango Reserve platform. It was easy to install, deploy, and use. It provides the critical service of driving employee engagement through workplace choice. It gives employees comfort in knowing they have a safe way to return to the office while still maintaining physical distance, capacity limits, and contactless reservations. And its ability to measure and analyze actual utilization provides management with the decision support needed to address future change that is sure to come. Creating and operating a successful workplace strategy requires more than technologies and processes, it takes a great team. EisnerAmper's leadership, supported by Tango's implementation, training, and support personnel were the secret sauce in this success story.
