Guide to Hybrid Work
As hybrid work becomes a permanent fixture in many
organizations, it's crucial to evaluate what hybrid work
looks like today and how to make it work best for your
organization in the future.
Hybrid work varies widely in its implementation, but
some patterns are emerging. On average, hybrid workers
report coming into the office 2.6 days per week. More
employees are now working on-site three days per week,
with fewer occupying the extremes of one or four days.
This balance aligns with employee preferences, as most
prefer to be in the office two to three days per week,
optimizing engagement for many roles. (Gallup)
The right amount of flexibility depends on the nature
of the organization and the type of work being done.
Highly interdependent roles often require more time
together on-site, while more independent roles can
allow for greater autonomy. Regardless of the type
of organization, there are a few suggestions that
all employers should keep in mind when looking to
optimize their hybrid workplace and steer their office
spaces into the future.
