Collect feedback from
employees
Employee feedback bridges the gap between what you
can observe and what your employees experience.
Even with a thoughtful, well-executed plan, it's difcult
to anticipate how your employee population will react to
a new work model. Especially if you're making the same
transition across multiple locations. Different people
are simply going to have different experiences, and the
employee population and unique culture at a specic
location will determine how people feel about the change,
what problems they're having, and what they care about
most.
Collecting feedback prior to a transition helps you
anticipate challenges and ensure your messaging,
policies, and space address your employees' needs. It can
also establish a baseline for employee satisfaction with
your existing work model. But collecting feedback after
you've switched to a new model is critical as well. This is
where you'll learn which aspects of the transition people
still need help adjusting to, what you could do a better
job communicating, or where you might need to pivot
from the original plan to achieve your goals and keep
employees happy.
