Engaging in omnichannel retail There is an increasing focus for e-commerce and brick- and-mortar stores and delivery to work together to create new shopping experiences and opportunities. In this omnichannel retail environment, customers expect a variety of different paths to purchase. And your analysis of real estate opportunities should account for alternative fulfillment methods as well. Where is your store in relation to pockets of online customers? Is it in range for local delivery to these customers? Is it in the path of their regular commute? Your location intelligence software should account for the total opportunity a site represents and have tools for analyzing its impact on online sales. Be sure to ask: ظ How have you accounted for omnichannel retail in your software? ظ How does the software estimate online sales generated by a location? ظ Can it calculate an ideal radius for deliveries? ظ Will it be able to show how much of your target market is inside that radius? ظ How does it evaluate a site for possible pickups or returns?
