Some hybrid work environments still require employees to
adhere to a rigid schedule. But the more flexibility you offer
employees, the easier it is for them to navigate their work-life
balance.
With greater control over where and when they work,
employees can prioritize essential relationships, personal
commitments, errands, goals, and other things that matter
to them. They can fit work into their personal lives, rather
than attempting to make their personal lives fit into their
work schedule.
But even without complete flexibility, hybrid workplaces can
still have a positive impact on employee wellness. A small
survey of 81 executives found that about 40% predicted that
there will be an increase in outdoor workspaces in response
to the pandemic. And entire companies have emerged to
create outdoor workspaces. (OK, it's a shed.)
And all those high-tech air filtration systems will do more
than kill COVID. The widespread adoption of office health
guidelines will ultimately create healthier environments for
people to work, even after the threat of COVID wanes.
