Lean Government 04 Streamline moves, adds, and changes Move management may not seem like a critical component of reducing or freezing the footprint, but when it isn't organized, agencies waste usable square footage. And right now, the federal government is navigating a significantly greater volume of moves, adds, and changes (MAC) requests as agencies close locations and employees return to office or leave their posts. As a comprehensive space management solution, Tango space lets agencies handle MAC requests from the same tool they use for space planning and occupancy analytics, providing several capabilities that help you use your space more effectively. For starters, it serves as a hub with detailed records of your assigned and unassigned space and assets, making it easy to see what's available to repurpose. In the near future, Tango will even use AI to recommend specific moves based on the requests and available space within your system. So if a request comes in to move a bbbb team to five open workstations in close proximity, the system can identify workstations that meet the request's parameters and suggest them to you. Tango also eases the burden MAC requests place on your space planning team by effectively automating and crowdsourcing the parts of the process that other roles can fulfill, such as securing approvals from management, scheduling related tasks, moving the request through your agency's workflow, and updating the system after a move is completed. With role-based access, you can control who has visibility into the MAC process and what actions they can take, so that stakeholders can support but not interfere with space planning. Importantly, Tango also lets you visualize upcoming moves, so no one will accidentally assign the same space to multiple people in the system. All of this serves to ensure that moves stay on track, and your agency maximizes space utilization. 8 Copyright © 2025 Tango. Agencies that want to maximize their ability to freeze or reduce the footprint need to test a wide range of scenarios to find the best configurations. Tango Space's scenario planning capabilities let agencies test as many office configurations as they need to, and even automatically generates configurations that work within your parameters and fit your desired outcomes—so you can choose the options that are truly the best, not just the best someone could think of. While your team may thoughtfully develop a handful of configurations to compare, Tango can test every possibility, then show you the options that yield the best results.
