AI is advancing so rapidly that it's predicted to run out of human-written training data as early as 2026. According to Goldman Sachs, two-thirds of US occupations involve tasks and processes that could soon be automated by AI. And in 2024, Microsoft reported that 75% of global knowledge workers were using AI at work. "Suppose you get a couple of MAC requests," Leibowitz says. "One says you need 10 desks here. And another group says they're getting rid of five desks. Tango Space will soon be able to say, 'Here's the starting solution of what this would look like to solve that. Now you only need five desks from somewhere else.' We have the information in the system. So why should you spend your time going through all those requests and your occupancy data? The system should just tell you where to remove and add desks. You need to manage the supply of space and assets. The system can use AI to help you understand the demand and what's available to fulfill it." For now, AI has a pretty clear lane when it comes to the workplace: it's an assistant. There to streamline repetitive tasks or help workers access information faster. "I don't see AI going beyond automation and assisting and accelerating tasks," Stève Cattin says. "We won't see an AI Space Manager or AI Corporate Real Estate Manager replace a human in 2025." 08 A I W I L L C O N T I N U E E V O L V I N G A S A N A S S I S T I V E T E C H N O L O G Y I t ' s n o s e c r e t t h a t A I w i l l s h a p e t h e w o r k p l a c e o f 2 0 2 5 — b u t t h e q u e s t i o n i s how? "We're going to see more AI use cases every day," John Vivaldi says. "Decision makers will get more advanced analytics capabilities. Workers will talk to their calendar to book rooms and workstations, and they'll get recommendations based on their last use or their calendar location, etcetera." In space management, Ross Leibowitz sees ways AI could soon be used to simplify the overwhelming volume of requests managers have to coordinate: vvvvvvvvvvvv Copyright © 2025 Tango.
