Many lease software providers are
just beginning to bring AI to their
solutions. Others will double down on
their investments this year. At Tango,
we began leveraging AI capabilities in
our lease software last year. At the
beginning of 2024, we introduced Ask
Tango, a feature that uses natural
language processing to make it
easier for users to retrieve
information from their portfolios. You
just ask a question, similar to how you
might ask a colleague:
How many leases will expire in the
next 3 months, 6 months, and
year? How many in the next five
years?
How much did we spend on base
rent in 2024?
How many leases have a potential
percentage rent obligation and
what was paid in 2024?
Most companies aren't ready to
hand off the reins and let AI start
writing multi-million dollar legally
binding contracts, and rightfully so.
The technology isn't ready to reliably
take over the process of producing
leases. But it can certainly support
and accelerate many lease
management workflows. As
specialized LLMs gain more
exposure to lease documents and
the nuanced differences between
them, their accuracy will someday
improve enough to save lease
departments far more time. But for
2025, you can expect to see
incremental additions to lease
software's AI capabilities.
