For the first year, the firm focused on rolling out the
system to high priority locations, finding they could
support more people in the same, and even less
space than they had allocated before. Employees
began to appreciate the flexibility and the ability
to use the familiar Exchange interface to reserve
meeting rooms, which increased user adoption. At
first, some within the firm did not see the full value
of Tango Reserve until the COVID-19 pandemic hit in
2020.
As the pandemic forced employees to work from
home, they found that having Tango Reserve already
in place put them in a great position to handle the
evolving climate and gave them an operational
edge by being prepared before employees started
to return in greater numbers. The flexibility of the
platform allowed them to pivot and find the best
configuration structure for keeping employees
healthy and safe, and added confidence in the office
as needed. With new capacity and social distancing
policies in place, Tango Reserve could be quickly
and easily set up to manage distancing between
workspaces, provide buffers of time between use,
and limit occupancy.
The trust employees felt in the firm to keep them
safe and healthy is visually reinforced in the platform,
with floorplans that show distance, groupings and
allocations to keep teams together yet distanced,
and a contact tracing report to see who was in the
office in the case of a positive test. For them, Tango
Reserve has been a critical tool before and during
the pandemic, and viewed as an integral part of
their longer term strategy for managing growth,
flexibility, and operational efficiency within their
office portfolio.
