The Rise of the Hybrid Workplace: Strategic Opportunities for the Post-Pandemic Office
8
Creating a clean, safe environment isn't what makes a
workplace hybrid. But the pandemic has made sanitation
an essential part of any workplace model—and the need for
COVID-f ree offices has made hybrid environments more
appealing.
With greater flexibility, fewer people occupying your office
space and a better understanding of who is working where,
hybrid workplaces can make sanitation easier to coordinate
and manage.
At the same time, since you have multiple people using the
same workstations, sanitation is also more important, and
it will continue to be a concern with hybrid workplaces in
the future. Right now, all eyes are on COVID. But COVID has
raised everyone's awareness of how easy it is to pass deadly
diseases, and in a post-pandemic office, the next pandemic
will still be on everyone's minds.
With the constant rotation of employees using shared office
spaces, novel sanitation practices being implemented now—
such as self-cleaning surfaces and COVID-killing air filtration
systems—could simply become the norm for employers that
want to make their workers feel safe and comfortable.
