Copyright ©2022 Tango. All rights reserved. Floor Plan 2.0: Discovering Your Future Office 8 The return to work is a time to test your assumptions, not make them. Throughout the pandemic, businesses have experimented with a range of sensors, beacons and other tech solutions that enable them to monitor how space is being used in real-time. By connecting these systems to an IWMS solution like Tango, you can create heat maps that show how your entire office space gets used, including which pathways, rooms and doors have the most traffic throughout the day—and at what times and on what days they see the most use. The more utilization-related data you can collect, the more informed decisions you can make about the best use of space. Note: This greater visibility into your office space has nothing to do with surveillance and everything to do with space optimization. But it may not feel that way to employees. When they suddenly start seeing cameras and sensors popping up and learn that you're "tracking" them, the perceived lack of privacy could negatively impact their desire to be in the building and hurt their overall wellness. So if you implement these solutions, it will be important to clearly distinguish between surveillance and optimization and be transparent about what you're actually monitoring. Embrace tech solutions to gather better data
